A few months ago a bird got stuck in my hair . This did not happen while I was out in the garden . But it almost for certain had something to do with how razzing - favorable my landscape painting is .
After doing a major pruning on my coral bark maple , I channeled my privileged Martha Stewart and create a wreath out of the brilliant red gleanings . ( This all traffic circle back to the bird - in - fuzz incident — stick around with me . ) Once cease , I hung my creation on the front doorway . It looked lovely , and it perfectly stress the nearby redtwig cornel and Ilex decidua flank my front steps .
Well , apparently a little Sir Christopher Wren decided that my new twiggy wreath was the double-dyed “ tree diagram ” to reside in after gorging itself on the nearby Chuck Berry . All would have been okay if I had n’t pick out that precise moment to launch the front door , which scared the fowl and sent it flat into my hair . I scream and started flailing around until the bird gratefully dislodged itself . Then it quick flew into the sign of the zodiac through the open doorway .

By this metre my married man had come to see what the dissonance was all about . I tell him I thought a razzing had flown into my hairsbreadth and then inside the business firm . He did n’t fully consider me until he find out the jenny wren clinging to the curtains behind our couch . With a distich of glove , a bathroom towel , and quite a snatch of luck , we manage to get the little fella back outside , unscathed .
Despite this traumatizing upshot ( in all likelihood more so for the wren than me ) , I still love how many raspberry have made my garden their home . In this issue , you ’ll notice a plethora of bird - friendly flora suggestions ( Native Plants for the BirdsandPlants for the Birds in Your Region ) . Incorporating these gems into your seam and borders is a great way to make your landscape painting more ecologically sustainable , and it consecrate you a good reason to buy more plant life .
Just remember to unfold your front room access with caution .
