For us , it was the ultimate DIY outdoor living project . It was also a projection that took intimately the whole spring and summer to finish .
We wanted to create a place to bask the outstanding open
But with a little workplace every luck we could get – our DIY outside living way and kitchen space is finally sodding . And that includes the pizza pie oven , which we fired up for it ’s first test last weekend .

We wanted to create a space to enjoy the great outdoors
If there was one matter more than anything else we wanted to create at the farm , it was an outdoor blank to enjoy spirit . We love to cook , consume , talk and just be outdoors every chance we get .
So with that in idea , we decide to put our DIY gloves on and attempt to build a space that chip in us a place to savour the groovy open . From pour concrete walker and instal concrete block and concrete countertops , to laying terrace pavers , building shiplap cupboards , and learn to install masonry brick – we did every single step we could ourselves to economize everywhere possible . It was a lot of body of work , but in all honestly , a lot of fun !
It started right smart back in April when we began to move enough stain beside the theater to ramp up a base for the pavilion . ( See : Creating an Outdoor Living Space From Scratch )

Its hard to believe that now as Fall sets in – we can now look out and see that crowing dirt lot from April has now turn into a place we can hopefully enjoy outdoor living for many class to come !
Here is a smell at last photos , along with a few from throughout the construction cognitive operation .
DIY Outdoor Living – The Completed Pavilion & Outdoor Kitchen Photos
The Outdoor Kitchen and Pizza Oven . Constructed from concrete pulley block , concrete , shiplap and dry smokestack synthetic stone . It took us about 8 weeks from teem the concrete footer to installing the last homemade shiplap door , but it ’s concluded !
A view of the back of the outdoor kitchen and pizza oven , with the pavilion in the background . We want something to match the cedar look of the theatre , and the Weaver Barn ’s rough - sawn pavilion was the perfect peer .
The Building of the Pizza Oven . The pizza pie oven by far was the most Labour intensive diy project ! We build a wooden form to bear the firebrick as we mortar each brick in to produce the arch . It take some time , but was a lot of playfulness to see as it began to take soma .

The Building of the Pavilion . The Weaver Barns Pavilion was the only projection we could n’t take on ourselves . We created the footers and they build it from there . Amazingly , it take them only 4 hours to work up this entire construction with just two people and a ladder !
Homemade Concrete Countertops . For our countertops , we mixed up gamy strength 80 pound . bag of inexpensive concrete mix and poured . We made our form from scrap woods to create the top and the grill cutout . Then , with a folk day of mixing with our kids help out , we poured all of the top for about a total of $ 55 . Not a bad investment funds for a countertop that will last a farsighted time !

Firebrick Installation . Mortaring around the dome was all about forbearance . We would put a few row in and hold off , And then a few more … and wait .
Mary establish these drop down sun screen for the marquee , which make corrode alfresco in the evening perfect . They do a great job of keeping out the Dominicus during dinner party .
