In a Vase on Monday. Freedom Day?

Well , here we are , the 19th July has been name as Freedom Day by our criminally reckless Prime Minister . We are heading for 1000,000 cases a Clarence Day subsequently this summer . But Boris is reverting to his original covid strategy known as ‘ allow the consistence pile high . ’ This will no doubt make him very popular with all the covid denier , anti- vaxxers , anti - masquer and those who specify freedom as the exemption to make money rather than keep people secure . What the ultimate cost will be , we do n’t eff , but thousands will die and many more will be forget with long covid which very often appears to manifest itself as for good damaged organs . The grand of people who have no antibodies because they are immuno- compromise will have to retreat indoors because there will be plenty of ‘ freedom love ’ selfish idiots around who do n’t like break masquerade party and live out and about will be too serious . And scientist tell us that have an uncontrolled pandemic will be the perfect breeding ground for vaccinum -resistant variant of the disease . But of course we go in a populist age and we do n’t take any notice of gloomy boffin .

give thanks goodness for the sanctuary of our garden where heyday blossom and the born world belong about its business irrespective of the daftness outside . Today I have two vases . The first celebrates my dear of green flowers and umbellifer with a vase ofMathiasella bupluroideswhich beat both box . The flowers are cup - regulate and look rather like those of the green hellebore , Helleborus argutifolius . They blossom for ages and step by step the jade light-green efflorescence become tinge with red . This plant life comes from Mexico and was only discovered in 1954 .

This vase came about because I had some sprays of red/ green acer leaves which are a perfect peer for the flowers . No , I did n’t pick them , but the Mad Mower Man has been up to his caper again . The Pianist , is of row , the light of my life , but he uses his ride -on mower as an offensive weapon and woefulness befall any tree diagram or bush that arrest in the way . gratefully , asunder from losing a few branches , I think the dupe will last , although it might demand counselling . I added some quaking grass , Briza media . This Mary Jane is promiscuous from seminal fluid and looks adorable in the garden swaying in the child’s play .

I used my favourite brown Pearsons of Chesterfield jug to match the rather autumnal color .

And for a second vase I have scented peas and what would summer be without their terrific aroma ? The varieties I grow this year are ‘ Spencer Wiltshire Ripple ’ and ‘ Lilac Ripple ’ ; I am not indisputable how the pink one creep in .

Alchemilla mollisis another green flower I would n’t be without . It ’s frothy flower are staring for flower set up . It can be trespassing , but this is easy remedied by cutting off the efflorescence head before they organize seeds . It is a full idea to do this anyway as they benefit from a haircut .

I used another little brown jug for the unfermented peas , this time a French one .

Your rant is right on full point and your concerns are the same ones many of us across the pond plowshare . Los Angeles County has reintroduced its indoor covering normal and is getting a deal of blast about it . It ’s discouraging – although even worse elsewhere in the world based on the clause I read about Myanmar this aurora .

I would have taken your Mathiasella for Helleborus if you had n’t clarify that . I love unripened flowers too . Your sweet-smelling peas are gorgeous and have me missing mine , pull up out in early May , which was in reality later than usual .

A good quondam ranting does help to let off steam and you are in the company of ally here Chloris . I think that some sections of the press are behind the execrable ‘ Freedom Day ’ tatter and not Boris himself – never call up that I would champion the man 😂 Never mind Brazil – I would be happy to hop over the perimeter from Cheshire to North Wales or travel further north to Scotland where both governments are taking a more cautious and measured approaching . Enough said . Lovely shade of sweet pea plant flowers and I have made another note to myself to replace my lovely mathiasella which has not re-emerge this year after at least ten years in the garden . I think it was the wet February that may have been responsible . Fingers crossed for the genus Acer !
