In a Vase on Monday. Rebecca’s World and Some Sweeties.
I have a used some of myDahlia‘Rebecca ’s World ‘ for today ’s vase . I have it off this Dahlia because it is so eye catching . The pas seul in colour on one plant is awesome . Some of the flower are nearly all white , some are nearly all flushed and others are a mixture of the two . really , when I say red ; it is more a ample burgundy colour .
With the Dahlia I have used a sullen highlight ofScabiosa‘Black Knight ’ which I love .
Scabiosa atropupurea ‘ Black Knight ’

The pale pink heyday is the commonSaponaria officinalis . This bloom , ‘ Bouncing Bet ’ grows unfounded round here and it spreads quickly . I do n’t take care though , because it is easy to attract out if it generate out of hired man . I like it so much that I have it in pale pinkish , glum pinkish and white . It is fragrant too , as it is related to the carnation . The foliage is a from aFuchsia magellanicavar.gracilis‘Variegata ’ . I did n’t constitute this and most of the time I do n’t take any notice of it . It becharm my centre on this occasion , because the pink and cream edge of the leaves seemed just right as a backdrop to the coloured colour .
Dolly Mixtures .
I essay to keep a slight posy on the dining board at all sentence as we eat in here every night , if it is too cold alfresco . My litle pink glass vase with the snowflakes is what I used today and I satiate it with flowers that prompt me of the Dolly Mixture sugariness I loved as a tiddler . The blossom are an gentle annual calledLinaria maroccana‘Sweeties ’ . The ejaculate can be simply scattered for these adorable efflorescence and if you dead head them they blossom all summertime . My only regret is that I only bought one packet of seeds . Next year I shall scatter them all over the garden .

With the Sweeties I have put a bit of creamyTrachelospermum asiaticumfor the lovely perfume . So there are my two vase for this workweek . Now I am off to Cathy ’s web log , Ramblinginthegardento see what she has been up to . Cathy innkeeper this popular meme and she is always very inventive with her consumption of props and gens for her hebdomadary vessel . They reflect her artistic talent and her sense of play . Do go and see .

Oh these are beautiful vase . I had not seen this finical Dahlia pinnata and unadulterated with the burgundy Scabiosa . And of course that pink vase is special and I love the little flowers , Linaria maroccana , and will have to bestow these to my list !
Oh , I get laid those drab burgundy colors in your top vase . Very middling . The Scabiosa is a staring match .
Wow , Chloris , your vases are arresting , both of them ! Love that disastrous Nox and the Dahlia pinnata . And those sweetheart look so well in the grass !

You ’re getting a pot for the cost of one with that Dahlia – I do n’t guess I ’ve see another with that range of variation in the petals . I bonk Linaria too . I was surprised to see it in your vase , though , as here it ’s ( at best ) a recent winter / early spring salad days and sensitive to any sudden estrus spike heel even then .
What a beautiful concord of colour ( in both potentiometer ) . I grew some Scabiosa atropupurea this yr but they obviously are not Black Knight as they are a pale garden pink .
