And I could n’t be more emotional about the season ’s first H.M.S. Bounty , myAka Karaine loanblend radishfrom Kitazawa Seed Company .

A few things drew me to this Japanese radish when I first corrupt the seeds : the vibrant color , the spiciness of the radish plant , the fact that the entire plant ( rootandleaves ) is edible , and it also stash away for long periods of time in the fridge . I imagined slice it into my salad and coleslaw , scrape it into my ramen , pickling it for sandwich . Yummmmm !

The seedling germinate within days and have been run strong ever since September .
