And this Spring certainly falls into that category !

With the young “ tiny ” cabin go up , and all sort of novel projects lead on , the Spring of 2019 has been so much fun for both of us .

Yes , it is very true that there is hardly a night or morning that goes by that we might be a little huffy from the mean solar day ’s previous undertaking . Okay , perhaps sometimes its a lot sore .

But frankly , we would n’t want it any other way . We love being outside and working at what we love . For us , it simply does n’t get any dear than that .

The Tiny Cabin Project

Our tiny cabin has been at the top of the list when it arrive to spring projects at the farm . See : The Tiny Cabin Project

We have always want to make a little position on the farm for guests to enjoy an evening stay at the farm . And this certainly will correspond the banknote !

Most of the exterior landscaping is now complete . We added a minuscule front terrace , along with a few of our homemade Adirondack chairs and a diminished fire pit for guests .

The Garden Is In!

The 2019 Garden is planted !

The garden is full of heirloom tomatoes , capsicum pepper plant and more . As you could see from the photo , the back of the garden also includes our potato crateful , and our straw bale cucumber and Zucchini plant .

This yr , we are growing a lot of Nasturtiums and Marigolds throughout the rows for a scrap of a associate planting experimentation .

The pot you see are filled with seeds of both that will add a portion of color to the rows , and hopefully a bit of pest protective covering as well !

Breakfast In The Pizza Oven

Although we enjoy our homemade pizza pie oven for making pizza pie and nachos at night , we have found a fresh use for it the following morning !

Using cast atomic number 26 Pan , it has become the utter blank space to make breakfast after a late night of making pizza pie . And yes , we even make a few breakfast pizza in the sunrise too .

The pizza oven took a few months to work up , but it remains one of our all - time favorite projects at the farm .

The Beach

We jokingly call this expanse “ The Beach ” on the farm . It sits right in the middle of the holding and is just a passive place to baby-sit down and enjoy the day .

The Adirondack professorship are so comfortable , and we bonk that we never have to worry about them blowing over . I think we have about 12 now all over the farm .

I have to say , construct them from 2 x 4 ’s really has made them stand up to the mental testing of time . See : DIY Adirondack Chair

The Fire Pit

One of our favorite places to enjoy an evening is at the fire pit at the bottom of the hill .

It ’s just hard to beat kicking back around a good fire after a long day of work on the farm .

The View From The Back Porch

When we were building the household , Mary was the one who come up with the approximation to rick the house around so the porch would face the farm and not the road .

And to this day , I am forever grateful for it !

One of our preferred early morning thing to do is grab a cup of coffee and sit on the back porch with the farm in full view .

The only downside – you could easily see any chores that ask to be done that daytime ! Hmmm … perhaps she had a plan all along !

The Garden Structure

Another spring project was a new entry to the garden that we now call our Garden Structure .

We transfer a few Hops plants in the front , and will allow them to turn up and fill the top canopy for a living roof .

It should make for a dainty place to delight a little rest after working in the garden .

The Barn

And finally , there is the barn ! It was the original structure back in 2011 , and it remains a focal point today .

It will always have a special place in our nub , especially since a large luck of it was constructed from remnants of my dad ’s b .

We trust you savor a flavour around with our farm and garden pic tour – here is to a great summertime for 2019 ! Jim and Mary .
