Six on Saturday . Six thing , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything – a flower ( rich chance ! ) , Chuck Berry , seed , beasties , a job to do , a failure , anything at all . Join in !

Here are my Six for this week .

1 – Mina lobata seeds . The very successful mina order Lobata had not yet set seed , or at least they were not yet ripe , by the time the frost start out it . I relieve a few seed head word when I tidied the plants up and they have been drying out in the shed . I was a turn skeptical this would do work , but sure enough it seems to be . I should have mess of tonic seeds to use next class .

2 – Rose Dr Eckener . I cogitate this is my angriest rise . It has a top to toe cover of close packed thorns , and each sense like it has been sharpened purposely . Definitely one that I make trusted is well tied in , one of these undulate about could do some proper roguery .

3 – Angelica archangelica , new growth . I tidied up the front garden the other day , cutting almost everything back . It is always gracious to crystalise away the old to reveal the fresh . This flora is well forward of the plot .

4 – Early lupins . I sow these some month ago , from seed pile up from this summertime ’s flowers . They got off to a fast starting and perhaps unsurprisingly have slowed right down as we head in to wintertime . The root will still be busy show below the surface , but I expect all this top growth will wither away shortly , to be supervene upon , I rely , with brisk growth .

5 – Allium Christophii . I enjoyed these so much last class I have purchase a load more , partly by way of insurance , but mostly because I hope to have a small ground forces of them . This one is from last year ’s batch , I acknowledge it intrude up as I was scouring the estate looking for something , anything , worthy to include here . Jolly squeamish to see it .

6 – Hydrangea ‘ annabel ’ . Like a flowered Mrs Faversham , this bush is still get into its now faded gown . There are about 5 base , each transcend with a crispy pom - pom . I ’ll have to prune it back at some point , but that can wait for a while .

No horticulture for me this weekend , am off with Mrs P for a stay on a houseboat near Bath . Am hoping it add up with heating of some variety . Do n’t forget to pop back as more linkup get add during the sidereal day .
