Amaranthus, salvia, and more showing off
Today we ’re in Sweaburg , Ontario , Canada , visiting the beautiful garden of Alice Fleurkens . She ’s shared picture of her garden before ; if you require to see more , match out these former postal service : Good supporter Make a Great GardenandFall to Winter .
An awing genus Amaranthus ( Amaranthustricolor , annual ) . Alice had trouble finding this plant for sales agreement in the spring , but the unity she has found are looking jolly great . The leaves of this plant can actually be eaten as a green vegetable , but it is nearly too beautiful to do so .
Not all of the genus Amaranthus plants got as tall , but they are pretty colourful still .

The little lemon yellow-bellied flowers are threadleafcoreopsis(Coreopsis verticillata , Zones 3–9 ) . The yellow - foliaged bush next to them is aspirea(Spiraeajaponica , Zones 4–8 ) that has been trim after flower and is just about to bloom again .
These blue salvia ( Salviafarinacea ) are one of Alice ’s favorite yearbook , and they have done very well in the garden this summertime depending on the location and how much water they got . This summer has brought two month of extreme warmth and hardly any rainfall , so they have been watered every solar day .
Blue flossflower ( Ageratum , annual ) echoes the color of the amobarbital sodium salvia through the garden layer .

colored foliage from stale miller ( Jacobaeamaritima , Zones 8–10 or as annual ) , ornamental kail ( Brassicaoleracea , annual ) , spirea , and decorative dope ( Pennisetumsetaceum , Zones 9–10 or as yearly ) steal the show in this corner of the garden .
A tallpanicle hydrangea(Hydrangeapaniculata , Zones 3–7 ) flower white , though it will crimson red subsequently in the season . Mass of blue salvia bloom in front ( above and below ) .
