The OWG Garden Tour in Photos
The view looking in . Our garden is divided into and upper and lower one-half , with 11 raised rows and 4 raised bed for seed crops on each side , with a 5′ gravel path through the middle . Each time of year , we rotate the crops so that each variety develop in a novel infinite for 4 years before it is planted in the same soil again . It keep the soil from becoming depleted , and helps keep insect problem and soil borne disease in handicap .
The cucumber crop is bulge out to heat up . We grow ours in our enhance rows and train the develop shoot to satiate the aisle space . Although we lie with all of the mess and relish that are made from the crop – I think we both still enjoy simply eating them fresh the most !
The simple mantrap of a cuke flower

Much like the cucumber vine , the courgette crop has been flourishing . Two of our plant have grown to about 4′ gamey and 3′ wide – with a picking of 14 in a single day this past week .
We are now on our second planting of dough , scratch and radishes . We now grow these “ source ” crops in the raised beds we created at the entranceway . It makes weeding and taking over planting much easier . I love the flavor and the preference of the butter compaction lettuce .
The light-green edible bean while . We grow both Purple and Bush Lake smorgasbord – and both have done well with the dainty atmospheric condition this year . regrettably , they have done so well that they attracted the attention of a small bunny girl that want to hold up in them . So far , not much equipment casualty – we will have to wait and see …

The Zea mays everta is just about ready to jump to tassel . We produce ladyfinger and strawberry Zea mays everta , and these two full row will be enough to supply us in Zea mays everta for the year . The tomatoes are starting to turn over ! We have already harvested a few of the early turners , but in the coming weeks , all of Purple Cherokee , Black Krim , Mr Stripey and many other heirlooms will start to roll in heavy .
The purple Brassica oleracea botrytis , sweet basil , capsicum pepper plant , cabbage and potatoes in the garden . The sight and smell in the garden in mid July are many !
And finally , two of my favorite picture show – the garden tomatoes with the house going up in the background , and the compost megabucks , which is the power behind our intact garden .
