When client walk into Denton Plant Factory , a bright mosaic of color greets them . Large gerbera daisy basket , salvia , and dianthus populate the front plane section of the baby’s room for now , but the sort are rotated regularly , make elbow room for novel life as more plant life hail in . As node make their way to the back of the distance , they conk through a garage door to an oasis of shrubbery , yield trees , and other plant life stretching across an ever - expanding green space on the 4.2 - acre property .

With almost 1,000 plant species in stock , just under 25 % of the space has been filled , Zmolik say . “ I think in our vision , we escort a quad this bragging [ as being ] kind of what Denton needed on this side of town , ” Zmolik said .

The two in the beginning plan on waiting a few years to take the dip and start their own business , but when the former Zimmerer Kubota & Equipment space became uncommitted , the timing seemed right .

“ There was a huge demand last year — with 2020 , everyone ’s staying at habitation and crop in their gardens , the demand for plants went up , so we decide to kind of ride that wave , ” Zmolik aver . “ And in the midst of doing all that , the snowstorm happened , which killed off a pile of people ’s plant , create an even higher demand . ”

And despite the continued campaign , it may take to get the shop where they require it — both in terms of stock-taking and services — the twosome say they are n’t slowing down anytime shortly . “ It ’s been a lot of 60 minutes here and a lot of tough workplace , but very much worth it , ” Zmolik said . “ It ’s a labor of love . ”
