Billy created and run Barwald Landscaping for over 60 age , and in 1990 he begin the Flying Dragon Citrus Nursery with his son , Michael , in Jacksonville , Florida .

He also was the third Landscape Architect register in the State of Florida . Billy was a charter member of the 1953 administration of the Florida Nursery and Growers Association ( now FNGLA ) and was elected to the FNGLA ’s Hall of Fame in 2010 .
